For the Solider I Do Not Know

This is for the Soldier
Who I do not know,
You are across seas
Fighting in the war.

Keep your spirits up
And keep your head held high!
You have a MC JROTC Cadet
Looking up to you

You're living my dream,
One that can't ever come true,
For I have lupus,
A disease which prevents me
From being a soldier like you.

Be proud of who you are,
Shun all negative thoughts.
As for people who think you're a waste of time,
FORGET THEM!!!
They just don't have what it takes
To be a soldier like you!

Keep God in your heart
And good thoughts in your mind.
You will come home
To see your loved ones again.

Remember this poem
When you're feeling down,
Because there are Millions of people
Who are looking up to you for courage.

While this young cadet may never see battle,
I am still with you in spirit.
My heart goes out to you,
Soldier who I do know.

Author notes

I wrote this for Smalzz, He's on Iraq right now, His wife and I have been talking some-what. I wanted to write this in hopes of raising not only his hopes, but the hopes of his batallion...or whatever they call it in the air-borne infantry...Show this to the Marines, Army, Navy, And Airforce soldiers who look down in the dumps...

                         God Bless,
                           Cadet Cpl. Soliz

    Your welcome

    I'm glad you liked it...
I wanted to do somthing for him to get his hopes up!
I admire all soldiers who are serving or who has served in the military...They truely are doing what I've always dreamed of doing...while they are fighting for our safty...I am still fighting for my life...so I guess you could say I am a soldier !
