Untitled

Hate erupts
flinging molten rocks of anger
down once glorious valleys of softer emotion.
Veins of gold melt into dirty streaks of lifeless gray
as pain trembles through darkened skies
until everything once pure is consumed,
scorched, choked,
by an anger long subdued.
