Darkest pages in history - (Truth in the vilest way, not for the very young - war's atrocities)

Missing image
I still see the remains in my head
To the hell those iron paths led
I see the fear in the older folks
See the tears this fear invokes

Hoards are pushed in like cattle
Even breathing is a battle
Temperatures are unbearably high
Keep standing up even after you die

No room to move, not even a twitch
Those that die thrown into a ditch
The rest are sorted into groups
All treated like dirt by the troops

Each Jew transported this way
Gypsies, Romans, all convey
The same road taken, straight to hell
Nobody had time to say farewell

Once in the camp, once sorted out
Those that are young take another route
The older and the tiny are all transported
Gas filling chambers until all are distorted

Trying to run, even gauging out eyes
Every one fighting their final demise
Inhumane death found in efficient ways
Soldiers working hard for Hitlers praise

Those that are young were put to work
Clean up the atrocities, some went berserk
Piling the bodies in huge dug out holes
Muttering prayers for their lost souls

No food, no hygiene, nothing each day
Each person sliding deeper in decay
Factories built to process human waste
Each dying soul with ten more replaced

Ovens for burning, ashes spread out
Reports made by German scouts
Tell of the problems, try to find a solution
Stamped those humans as pollution

Their buildings remain, the souls still roam
Too violent a death for them to go home
Never forget this tale and its morbid construction
The cold and effective way of this mass destruction

In the whole history of mankind one finds these terrible acts against other human beings.
Not only in WWII did milljions of jews die but also hundred of thousand gypsies, so called romans, were enihalated in a blink of an eye. Anything that was not of ariën race was not accepted.

To this day these feelings STILL thrive in some peoples hearts, incredible!!!!!!!!!!

When one allows indoctrination to take over, one gives control.

It happens all around the world, either by threat, by gifts, bribery ..... lust for power, hunger for wealth.

I wish people would wake up to what is happening.

Thank you for taking time to read and comment!

in reply of the first half of your comment, if one does not aknowledge and see the full horror of this in history, one cannot recognise it happening in the present.
In whichever time span, these things are unacceptable.

On the second part of your statement, I believe that a certain man in Germany had the very same thoughts ... his way of dealing with it is called the holocaust.

In every soul there is a dark side, whether you are a jew, athiëst, catholic, moslim, what ever belief you may practise.
These things happen when one kills conciënce and compassion.

This all my own personal opinion.

Thank you for taking time to read and comment.

Man's cruelty to man is only exceeded by his inhumanity. A tragic testament to only part of what we as humans have allowed and even condoned. Even more tragic, we refuse to learn the lessons of history.

WWII was the biggest mass slaughter of humans so far. Let's hope there is not a bigger one, yet. Hitler may have wanted the destruction of the Jews, but the whole nation allowed it. However, in the history of the Jews, the Jews annihilated whole nations including livestock long before Hilter. Also before Hitler, we all but annihilated Native Americans. Then we put them in reservations. No. What the Germans did was not unusual, but the number of people who died in WWII was greater.

    Horrible situation.

You this is what the liberals want everyone to forget. Joe Lieberman is a Jewish man who went with his conscience. If we fail to learn from this, we in America may someday face this very atrocity. But as I do applaud y ou for writing this piece.

i hear you... i cant help thinking that to write about the holocaust currently going on in leabanon and iraq would seem a more pressing need
or the huge and obvious comparisones with bush and blair and sadam and starlin

todays jewss in israel are amung the most criminal peoples on earth.. quite clearly...

Thank you Tang, I visited Auschwitz a couple years ago, we wanted to let our children know.
The images, voices, call them ghosts, linger deep in my heart.
Seeing them in my minds eye, the misery, hell on earth and created by mankind! I feel such a pain deep in me.
I still cannot believe the human race, really!
Did you know they were building a twin to Auschwitch a few kilometers further? That they have designed, invented a system to process human waste to be used as fertiliser?
My mind implodes at such a thought, at such a reality.
Again, I could go on and on but I'll stop
My love to you my dear

    Anne

    My Dearest dutch2lips,
You've captured the atrocity of history. The sad part is wars are still brewing and tortures are still happening.
Looking back your reflection did not happen all that long ago - have we learned nothing?
Can any of us shout loud enough - STOP!
My best to you - for the voice is still needed to light a dark time.
    My love to you,
    Tang
