Spreading loss like wildfire
Throughout my entire being
When time ticks only forward
Away the breath of existence
Leaving mind numbing pain
When misunderstandings are wounds
Slashing wide cavernous rifts
In my depths of love
When words are unbearable blows
Pounding in reverberation
To the core of my soul
When thoughts are torturous
Lingering and unmerciful
Over the mistakes made
When sleep is divine
A rhythmic escape
From the enemy that is Now.
