Thoughts

Hearing the results of the test, she tremble
Doc made it painfully lucid...no chance for mistake
She would make believe nothing was wrong, but
Once a month, her body and treatment merge
Family and friends show great deal of benevolence
However, her thoughts and feelings are obscure
She sits at the opening of the grotto,
Drowning in her feelings of loneliness.
Thinking she has been jilt by everyone..
She's so blind, I hope she soon realizes she's loved and not alone.

Thank you for reading and leaving me your thoughts on this. It's actually about my sister who is 17 and has bone cancer. I know she's got lots of emotion that she keeps in, but I know that God has healed her and she will live a long happy life. The words came very easy once I started writing...surprisingly enough. I'm glad you liked it so well. Blessings

There's a mystery about these words. They breathe the reader in and leave us wondering. You made good use of the word bank in this challenge. Great job!

aaawwwww, thank you for the hug. I couldn't do two poems in the same genre with this word bank...I struggled with one after writing that spiritual one.

Well I'm so happy you like it Sarah. I had NO idea what to write about, I had like 4 rough drafts...my first was one about CSI...my all time fav. show, but it wasn't very good, but then I got the idea to write about my sisters feelings on her cancer...not sure if I hit it on the dot, but by what she says and I'm sure I came pretty close. It's kinda hard for me to write dark poetry, don't know why really. Anyway, I'm glad you read it and like it. Thanks for leaving me your thoughts! Bless you
