Corrine

Eyes of the deepest green,
and hair of auburn and gold.
The love of my life
whom I would never let go.

As I approach my bed,
I stare at her perfect figure under the covers;
her face so peaceful while she sleeps.
Lying next to her, I caress her fair skin
and whisper in her ear,
"Good evening, my love."

She does not stir,
but no matter.
I know she consents.
As I remove her nightgown
and expose her supple, yet frail frame,
I can feel the heat between us.
The outline of her pale skin on the blood red sheets,
the feeling of her complete surrender
as I enter her waiting body,
the energy between our enwined legs increasing,
the wave of pleasure that crashes over us
as our ecstasy comes to an end,
for tonight.

"I will never let you go, my darling.
There is no one else for you or me.
We were made to be like this."

Exausted from our love,
I pick her up, and carry her to her own room.
I lay her in the satin lined comfort of her small bed.
Her body, a perfect fit between the walls of her box.
I fold her arms over her chest and close the lid.
"Sleep well, my angel.

Sleep well."

Author notes

Inspired by Ray Bradbury's "The Cistern." Though it's nothing like the story, I got the idea fron thinking about how I could change it.

Thank you so much! I had never written any erotica before, so I was unsure how it would go over. I'm very glad you liked it.
And thank you for running such an inspiring contest!

A very dark and tasteful piece. I loved all of your imagery and the idea of this piece, it was so perfect in every way. I really liked the beginning when you were just describing the sleeping beauty, it was so beautiful I almost wished that she was mine.

I love Ray Bradbury and your writing reminds me of his sheer style. I have not read that by him but after reading your piece I think I shall.

    Good luck in the contest

    always && forever,
