we watch the sky turn midnight blue
with stars twinkling bright
the moon shines down with a smile on its face
at a love that feels so right
i listen to the sounds of the night
and stare into his eyes
baby blue
like the daytime sky they light my heart with joy
as the moon glides over us
watching us as we lay beneath it
i watch as one by one the stars twinkle out
like closing eyes
and together we watch a new beginning
the sun rising up
a new day
greeting us with the warmth it gave
