By a Crystal Lake

By a crystal Lake,
Like a becalmed boat on sandy shores,
I sit, silenced.
Just a mere observer,
As life unfolds,
Like a well-written play,
Veterans and novices,
-All competing for appraisal
I watch,
Bemused, yet vibrating
With sudden realization,
Of the absolute truth
While the sun,
Religiously as ever,
Worships the earth…

Beautiful imagery here. Your words speak to me and I can feel what you feel and I can picture what you the narrator is seeing besides that lake. Very cleverly written.

This was a beautiful poem but, although I enjoyed it, it's not exactly what I'm looking for. To make judging easier, I am going to remove it from the contest. I hope you understand.
