Who am I

I am not body
I call it mine,
Without life it is only matter
Who am I , who am I?

I am not mind
Though it thinks for me,
It guides me as also cheats
Who am I , who am I?

I am not intellect
It is one of my properties,
Understanding comes from it
Who am I , who am I?

I am not life also
It is only opposite to matter
Holding body, mind, intellect together
Then, who am I , who am I?

I am witnessing all these things
Indifferent to all of them,
They are all bound to me
I am free, always free.

Intresting poem. I'm not quite sure what it has to do with elements so if you cold respond then I could understand better. Otherwise it was a wonderful read. And I really liked it. Good job. It helps if you put what its about in your author notes.

Would have fit right into my previous contest actually "The Meaning of Life"... anyway, i do appreciate it here too as it "reflects" you from a philosophical perspective... nicely put!

Who am I? I am freedom. I am peace. I am realease. I am in His hands. The Almighty and guiding Master who molds me in His likeness. I am free. Yes, Lord, I am free.

Excellently done here my friend. Good luck in the competition.

    Always,

    dear sandip saha,
I was very happy to find this poem, which faithfully reflects the non-duality teachings I am familiar with. it certainly might be intriguing for some people to ask themselves the fundamental question "who am I ?" ... who is this "me" and "mine", we are refering to when we say "my body", "my mind" ... and only by looking inside, we may find the answer to this question ...
you have done a wonderful job here, dear poet, and I am certain that this poem will be a rich source of inspiration to many readers.
    thank you,
    maa
