...they share a love that transcends time...
A Brave sitting atop a cliff
calls out before he leaves
'My name is Running Bear...
Little Fawn I'll return to thee'
With tears of sadness falling down,
her hand over heart she held
As Little Fawn looked up at him
she said, 'yes... I Love You Bear...'
Little Fawn rode to their special spot
alongside the glistening stream
Running Bear's been gone for many moons,
now her tears fell as she dreamed
She remembered words before he left,
the words he gave to her.
"I'll be back someday my Little Fawn
on this you can count, I'm sure."
'I'll wait for that time' said Little Fawn
'for no other this life's desired.
Those many suns that pass us by
I'll mark with undying fire.'
'I'll keep a mind to what you've said
Our People I'll watch over
And when enough sleeps have come to pass
I'll be here, we'll join together.'
'And you, my Bear, remember too
my heart is finding her purpose,
while your off seeking what must be found
My studies I'll work with focus.'
'Running Bear, before we part
one time more I will look
Deep into those eyes that take me
back to our Sacred spot.'
'As I sit over unknown time
and watch out to the horizon
my heart will feel you there inside
as I wait, looking into your eyes.'
'Beyond all that will heal and mend,
out past Great Mystery's reach.
You and I will join in hand
to the celestial Sky's we'll streak.'
'Peace will reign upon the ground
where once time marked our beat...
Then all that live on Mother Earth
will feel the Love we've gifted...
...with this dream...'

the love that Running Bear and Little Fawn share is indeed alive today...and that they walk in a different plane matters not, make no mistake about it my Spiritsong...we both have found each other, and we continue to love and share the light that we touched so very long ago...thank you for always being here with me...aho Little Fawn

Excellent
Daughter, I am well pleased with this wondrous poem. I can feel the hearts of Bear and Little Fawn as they have to part. The images are clear, the writing is marvelous, and I too will weep until your brave come wandering back home, Spiritsong
