A Real Facade

Is it your anger that makes you so mean?
Are you really as tough as you seem?
Is it some pain or a hurt that you feel?
Is it a fa�ade, or your cruelty real?
Hitting and kicking,
Yelling and swearing,
Is that the real you
Or a mask that you're wearing?
I know you feel power,
To you it seems great.
But your anger's no reason
To treat me with hate.
It may seem cliche,
But the answer's not violence.
Resolve inner problems
Calmly in silence.
Look inside yourself
And maybe you'll find
The actual you
Who's thoughtful and kind.
But...
Is it your anger that makes you so mean?

Think deep and think true
