are open, this evening
rain traces feelings on the skin.
Love begins. A breath is stolen, time
pauses before the pulse of blood
begins again. A touch of grace
crosses space, perhaps a bird
sings. You touched me. I
heard your voice, knew,
at once, we are
friends.
We shared
our joy and
visions of love
knew we were of the same
pulse. No questions asked
in this lighted way. I taste
the rain upon my face. Spread
your wings or nest at night,
I shall always hold you
in the Light. In this
life or others we
have lived,
I know your grace upon this bridge of time.

I am sorry that I haven't read your poetry sooner! You truly have a way with lifting people's spirits. Your words flow through the minds and hearts of your audience, as we could only keep those few minutes of peacefulness.
Keep it up!

Wow. When I read a poem like yours, I have to wonder whether I'll be one of the lucky ones to find that person in life, the one who loves you just the way you are, the person that balances you out, and when I read poems like yours it gives me hope, and a voice in me tells me that that person is waiting out there somewher just for me. Thanks so much for sharing this amazing write, and thank you for commenting on my poem 'Baby'

This is absolutely breathtaking. It refreshes the soul and leaves one breathless with the beauty portrayed within a poet's heart, mind and soul. I love the way you spill ink and place it upon the page to perfection. I loved stumbling upon this after returning from a journey.
Thank you
Namaste sweet soul~

Now I am humbled. I appreciate you giving such high praise to my voice. I was only trying to let a friend know how much they had touched me. Again I can only offer you my thanks. Love, Tom B.

Captivating
This is captivating. Your "voice" within your words is very soothing to my spirit. You write with an elegance and grace that is very unique. You have a definite gift, sir. There is no doubt you were intended to hold a pen.
May your soul always share it's beauty with the world.

Friendship is one of the flavors that makes life a rich meal. One of the scents that makes vulnerablity a constant temptation to be yeilded to. This gift of openess, a magic that one channels through ones bones.
Love, Tom B.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. It was tricky. I kept writing philosophical statements and finally, one evening after the house had gone to bed and even the road was still, I let myself be filled with the spirit of what I wanted to say and then let the images provide containers for it, the spirit, to be held. It is always music and pictures, lyric, dance and expression. The gift is finding away to allow others to see and share the vision. Love,Tom B.

There are those special moments when you really connect- and you just know. And it just is.
How eloquent and beautifully written!
These moments are not always easily expressed in words- but you've got it- spot on.
Lovely stuff.

I have to say, i'm not really a big fan of this modern layout and shape poetry or whatever you call it, but this is a beautifully written poem and i have to admit, the way you have it laid out actually enhances the flow.

and let the rain trace those feelings upon skin-----like the gentle fingers of a pianist across ivory keys. Your body will follow the melody in perfect harmony with the rain. A dreamy piece-----let it rain

this is very sweet. the format of the poetry makes you pause at particularly places that only adds to the sensation of this poem. it's like being caught in the rain with a lover. it's very nice. and kudos on the shape, that is a very difficult thing for me to do..as a lot of my poetry are just straightout vents (sometimes). well, keep up the good work. lots of love.
