Some claim from heaven, sunshine fell
and use this stone to cast their spells.
Rubbing it (for beauty’s sake) is sure you leave you quite electrified..
Others declare it’s, God’s tears petrified.
The Chinese believe it formed when Dragons blood was shed.
As medicine some claim it cures the body and the head.
The legends of Eternal love are sure to give great comfort a bride
and the warmth it carries cannot be denied..
It holds secrets of the past; trapped within its hue
Now I think it’s time we gave this charismatic stone its due.
And they say diamonds are a girls best friend!

Yeiks I needed a lot more then 10 lines to capture all the qualities (both real and myth) of amber. I think most of us know (from movies like Jurassic Park) that follicles are often found trapped inside pieces of amber. For those who don't know amber feels warm to the touch (unlike other stones.) and when you rub it you will not only smell a piney scent but you will it cause it to become electrically charged and lint and other small partials will "stick" to it.

i love amber, it's such a cool stone, because my mom has a ton of it in her room somewhere, and i play with it alot...
