Mighty roar, my call of life
Strength and willpower to face the strife
I bring speed in all I do
In action of this path pursued
Power seen within my sight
Held fierce between these jaws of might
Endurance always within my grasp
Avoiding life's simple traps
Quick to rise, protect, and act
Learn from me, you will not lack
See deep beyond what lies the eyes
Hidden by my striped disguise
Playful is my natural game
But serious when my home, I reign
Stand strong within the family pride
The earth, the plains in which we glide
But one factor, my downfall be
I tend to act before I see
Be willing to pay the consequence
Of actions from your performance

Lucky You!
Wow - I remember the movie Red Dragon (well, plus the book I read first) the blind lady gets to pet the sedated Tiger - What a sensation!
I related to these lines so much:
See deep beyond what lies the eyes
Hidden by my striped disguise
I think I do like being incognito - but that stems from my childhood and reading the comics Brenda Starr - her love Basil was always in hiding!
Ahh memories - and so much still to learn!
Wonderful and informative poem - Beautiful!

Isn't he up there beautiful? It's only one of the big cats I've handled. And I love it.
I knew those lines would be what you picked out. Geez, I remember Brenda Starr, my mom was named after her!
Glad you like this hun. Thanks for the comments.
