some days seem better
than others
in druthers
of clear night skies
filled with dreams
and twinkles
in flight
of fright
or elation
equations dictate
discrepancies between
the desired and the needed
a penny on the ground
passed over and over again
translates to missed
opportunities for blessings of
better than i ever dreamed
blinders worn in
tunnel vision limitation
breed lamentation and
miracle madness
so, if you please,
grant me eyes
that see beyond
the speck of reality
staring me in the face
and trace my path
to higher ground
where i can acknowledge the
full spectrum
of wonder
laid out for me
in bite size portions

You really have a way with words I am trying to do better thanks for the imput on my poems -
REALLY GOOD WRITE... I like what you are saying... I sometimes take things for granted.. my only suggestion would be where you break the lines in some sections, it make it a bit choppy... but otherwise this is a great piece

Full spectrum of wonder laid out for me,that's nice, if only we all could get up in the morning and grasp the full spectrum of wonder layed out for us, if we could reach in deep and cause our eyes; and our hearts to see the awe that is layed out by the master. Beautifully expressed
This is a beautiful prayer, the last part really hit me, about granting eyes that see beyond, I feel that way, I can really relate to this piece, there are so many gifts and blessings that we take for granted, thanks for being honest and showing how blessed we truly are, I needed to read this, made my day.
