it's a black and white world indeed, and then there is colour which we bring to the party spill ink and twist me into the crazy shape of love...

Nowadays, rarely is anything 'black and white' but you always seem to bring that concept to stark reality. I get the sense you are talking about good vs. evil when refering to black and white.

Thank you for a wonderful contest -- it was such a pleasure to enter this joyous challenge for Light to reveal irrational perceptions, which often taint beauty. You are one smart creative mind, Gaylene, coming up with such an interesting topic

Thank you also for the trophy and the points. I am sincerely grateful.

    Love

    Myra

    stunning

this is deep and could be taken to mean a whole lot of things depending on mindset and mood. What is masterful about this piece is that its brevity does not in any way subtract from its potency. The words are so carefully chosen and expectly blended together to give out clear cut images which to me culminate in a deep sense of yearning although I detect spiritual overtones as well.Hope this makes sense.
    Much love
    Sam

Yes -- the challenge was to write a textured poem, within ONE sentence ...

Actually, art is only ONE of the ways in which we walk in Light ... I used the artwork to suggest that we are now merely shadows in/of the Light embracing and awaiting us ... What a joyous thought for me personally ...

Actually, this is a poem in its own right. The poem is able to carry several analogous meanings and not only the history of Art one you suggest. The rhyme and minimalist style "make" small gem. For example one only needs to thyink of photographic negatives and the symbolism of human duality there. Thask you for this work. Ron
