It happened all in one night!

It was a warm stary night,
You told me your were sorry,
Because we had a fight.

You said you wanted to see me,
To make everything alright.
"I'll pick you up at Midnight", you told me.

I walked out of work that night,
You pulled up in a stretch limo,
And said lets go for a ride.

I got into it,
And that is when you,
Changed my whole life.

You tried to kiss me,
I said no,
But you kept on pushing.

You pulled at my clothes,
I fought you so hard,
You said oh, come on you know you love me.

I cried, I said stop,
But you didn't care,
You never wanted to talk.

You wanted to take,
what you couldn't have.
I may have gotten away.

But my life,
You did scar.
I will never be the same.

I will never love,
I will never trust,
Not the way I used to you took my whole life away.

Author notes

It's been six years, and I still can't forget that night.  I am hoping if I write about it I can start to move on.  Thanks for listening.

I can well believe that an experience like this would scar you for life. I think you are lucky that he did indeed stop! Sometimes talking about those things which we think we can never talk about helps to scare away the ghosts of our past. Don't worry about that guy. Justice may be slow and blind, but eventually it will catch up with him. One way or another, it will.
    Good poem.
    (one typo...stary = starry)

i agree with riley, it kind of makes you feel bad to critique it but i thought that it was a good piece. it was from your heart which is really awesome because a lot of people dont write about what they truly feel or anything like that. im completely sorry that it happened to you and ill be praying for you. never give up!

I really don't feel like I should be critiquing something as personal as this. I just hope you will be able to move on by writing this, I'm sure it must take a lot of courage to talk about this. I think the last stanza really says it all in this one. Best of luck with your life.
