Smooth As Silk

Smooth as silk against the palette, tongue rolls to slowly melt.

Texture lingers oh so soft, smooth, like sweetened cream.

Eyes now open, ready to take another piece,

But find myself in misery, dang, it was just a dream.

Author notes

This was better than the alternative.  Diabetic, so my choc intake is so very limited, and if you do too much of the sugar free...well you don't reaally want to know the consequences.

Yes it is very frustrating. I have been on shots for about 10years now, taking them sometimes 5 times a day. It literally changed everything. And of course, I had to be the wierdo, I have a rare form of diabetes, known as accelerated MODY. It is figured by the time I am 40 I will be a type 1 diabetic, probably starving for a beta cell transplant. So I try to live each day I have to the fullest and best of my ability. I don't want to miss anything life has to offer, so I keep on trucking, with prayers in heart.

    Thanks for the commesnt.

My step-mom has diabetic, and it is so frustrating for her. Now they have her on shots, and she hates it. Not only this having to watch everything you eat, and then worry of pills to take all the time. I feel for you because I see what she goes through from a day-to-day basis, and it takes over your life. I wish you well storm. Pj's
And as for your write well Bravo~~ I thought what a clever way to write about this.

Thanks hun. Been one for about 17 years now,and it blows. And in those 17 years, no doctor has been able to find my trigger point, I am either wayyyyyy up there, or so damn low I should be in a coma. No happy mediums.
