On a far off moutain's ledge
Falls my pride from where it came
Below lies the valley to catch it
But I am too high now
Never again to see it come alive
Goodbye old Spirit of Pride
Goodbye

But I am too high now
Never again to see it come alive
I am going to say that to lots of things and we MUST say this to a lot of sin and "bad spirit" in our lives. This is short and to the point. -
Thanks very much paula. I am late replying to your kind comment because my pc was dead, lol. GBY!

Thank you Jennifer for the kind comment! I'm sorry to reply so late but my pc was killed by lightning and had to get a new one. GBY!

this is a good poem. it is short, but I have also
written short ones and that does not mean that it
is not good. I love that opening line:
On a far off moutain's ledge
Falls my pride from where it came
I can actually picture this far off mountain ledge.
which sets the image of the rest. of losing your
pride. good write. -
Thanks for the opportunity to read your distinctive and individual poem. I appreciate the effort that you took. One of the great things about AllPoetry is the chance I get to read so many interesting and unique poems, like this one. I’m glad that I stumbled upon it.
