Bilbo Baggin's Adventure

Bilbo Baggins is
a hobbit you see.
He didn't like to
go adventuring.

But one day
Gandalf came along.
Then later came 12 dwarves,
what a curious throng!

They wanted to reclaim the treasure,
from Smaug the dragon.
When his Tookish side took over,
he went with them, ole Bilbo Baggins!

After quite a bit of travelling,
they were quite tired.
Suddenly they saw
a big bright fire!

There were trolls!
Three you see,
each of them,
as ugly as could be!

After a short detour,
that took half a day,
the curious throng,
was back on it's way!

They came to the valley
of Elrond's house.
To Bilbo Baggins it seemed,
some of the elves had begun to carouse!

While climbing the mountains
dangerous and steep.
Up from the depths,
the goblins did creep.

Bilbo was knocked out,
and woke up in the end.
He decided to go deeper,
to look for his friends.

Luckily for him,
he stumbled upon the ring.
He put it in his pocket,
and then saw the thing.

It was Gollum,
sitting in the dark.
They started a game of riddles,
before Bilbo could disembark.

Later he got
his friends out.
Bilbo put on his ring.
Too Late!  The goblin sentry began to shout!

Eventually, Bilbo and his friends
were chased up a tree.
But the group were saved
by the eagle king.

They went to the
house of Beorn.
A skin-changer is
what he was born!

At night he
issued a dire warning.
Everyone must not go
outside until morning.

Two days later
they were off to Mirkwood.
Beorn, weighing them down
with extra food.

After being attacked by spiders
and captured by elves.
The dwarves depended on their burglar
to free them-selves.

He put them
in barrels.
And the elves pushed them in the water
singing elvish carols.

All the dwarves,
the river pushed down.
They ended up
in the bay of Lake-town.

Later the dwarves went up the mountain.
Watching for Smaug the Dragon.
All the dwarves
and old Bilbo Baggins.

The dragon was disturbed
by no mere sparrow.
He was killed
by the Bard and his Black Arrow.

After the Battle of Five Armies,
Bilbo lost friends.
Fili, Kili, and Thorin
all died in the end.

After all of this
the hobbit went home.  
About his adventures,
he wrote a tome.
