~~ Sundance~~ (Tanka)

Painted warriors approach
While smiling maidens wait, biding their time
Mother moon beams one last time
as father sun rises

    Excellent! Well done!

I like this a lot! Always did like indians..well-built, no body hair, untamed, brave and strong! No wonder the maidens are smiling! LOL Enjoyed visualizing your poetic words, Sis!

Very spiritual, reminds me of the ritual itself.
There is a beat underlying it. I can see the ritual
inside my mind, and hear the chants, as a young warrior
goes on a spirit quest. Short but powerful.
    Love it.
    Blessings and Hugs, Daoine

Short, but very very deep. Well, to me at least. Another great piece Susan.

Awesome ,reflection pc., close eyes and take

So, uplifting and inspiring! Very beautiful, very visual and clear. A nice close your eyes pc. and reflect on. Escape from the current moment in time. The gray, dreary,no sun, sprinkles(but not enough to help drought). Just enough to make sand track inside. Send physical pain through roof. Palm Sunday 90 and 30 on Wed.????
Today, I wish I had ran, as fast as I could, when I met my nusband as an adult and not a little boy anymore. I can't move the land! He will never leave it. The extremes in weather here, just are slowly killing me. Will be on vacation until 5/1 no didn't forget AP. No pc's in Cancun's ocean. Write a bunch! the challenges of trying to catch up will be a trip and half! LOL.

I feel the warmth of your words. Visualize it, the dance
    of the sun. Renewal.
