This Is For You, My Stone

This is for you mom,
For you are stronger than you know.
You are my stone in the river
Of which I call my life.
You are undoubtedly there even
After the current tries to move you,
Tries to break you.
I know your stone left with
The current, and broke into pieces.
If left when you were too young,
So you never had what I have.
Therefore, I am thankful you are here.
I am thankful you stood strong
To that current.
Even though you had an excuse,
Thank you for choosing my river
Over your own.

    ahh this is sooo sweet
when ever i read these kind of poems. telling of the dearest mother. i feel soooo small.
i don't usualy get along with my mom, i'm almost never thankful for her.
but these kind of poems make me feel really ashamed of doing that.
knowing that, if i lost my mom to someone else, or something.... i might really really miss her.

Thank you for choosing my river
    Over your own.

you must have a really cool, nice mom.

    lovely

Sweetie, this is just beautiful, you are so lucky to have a mother who loves you so much. I see everyday the sorrow of little children who aren't so lucky. Let her know everyday that yoy love her, she needs to know. What a wonderful write. Bless you and your mother!!
