    What I thought-

“the crashing sea of feral waves”

“Feral waves” this just about sums up what a melodramatic piece this really is. This has that, I’m so friggin hideous and you fair lady are no beautiful, and though I stink and there are bits of me falling off, and although imprisoned and have only my own turds to wash in, please look up and throw yourself at me with undying love. Stark realism at its finest! I found this absolutely ludicrous in a totally self flagellating way.

Let all that I have not be the love you’ll ever need in this tower where ardor soars

What a winning proposal as I envisage you locked in the tower with your ardour soaring.

What I thought - This is surprise- it is a well crafted, well thought out piece of down to earth sense compiled in a matter of fact prose. It has a magnificent heart to it and takes the reader gently along with some fabulous lines-

“Regret is an awful thing to carry with you into the darkness, but it’s the only baggage I have left. I’d like to leave it behind – check it in at the desk and forget it, like some tourist in a hurry to catch his plane.”

Having lost my own father last year this strikes at the emotional epicentre of many a relationship that comes to an end after years of fraught moments. Well done and thanks to Circuitboard for showing me to it.
