It is time for Easter
It will be here in awhile
Little boys must stand still
For a heartfelt hug
This in no time for frogs and mud
Straw hats of blue with flowers pressed
Is the style with many a silk dress
Loose blonde curls, and no hair that's teased
Will soon blow in a soft spring breeze
All churches stand so tall and proud
As it welcomes the well dressed crowd
With whispers and love the red velvet pews are lined
Love and friendship rekindled in many a mind
The minister stands tall the scripture is read
It tells how Jesus was crucifed and rose from the dead
This Easter message highly proclaims
That Christ our blessed Redeemer reigns~

I too love Easter and can not wait for it. I love this holiday. It makes me sad too. God paid such a high price for our sins. I know that God love you dearly. Sometime it hard to have faith. I get out my cd of the passion and play it every year. It reminds of how much he suffered for our love. This is a great message my dear. You write so very well.

Happy Easter Susan, my youngest son is still home. He is going to graduate this year. I made a Easter basket for him like I did when he was little this year. Lovely poem susan.

Happy Easter to you to mu dear Susan~
This reminded me so much of when I was a child and I would have on that beautiful soft silk dress with my hat and my curls hanging down from all sides. (I had a head full of blonde curls and you would never know from this straight haired bronette) hehe And my cousin Jimmy would have his little suit on and we would hide the egss around the outside of the house and me and jimmy would have to find them and each put them in our baskets and then when we couldn't find anymore, we would count who had the most! hehe God, I remembered all of that with this poem hun.
