Answers for Spirit-4gotten

1) Red Sea (traditionally) but also can be translated the "Sea of Reeds"
2) The Fiery Furnace (thanks to King Nebuchadnezzar)
3) Three days and three nights
4) Pitch/tar
5) First of all, the Bible never said that there were three--just that there were wise men that came. And it definitely did not give their names, just their gifts:  gold, frankincense, and myhrr
6) Two--Esther and Ruth
7) Six hundred thousand men (plus women and children in untold numbers) (Exodus 12:37 unless you're using a Tanach instead of a Christian Bible, in which case the verse number may be off by one or two)
8) Two--Jesus and Peter a.k.a. Simon a.k.a. Cephas
9) Obadiah
10) A fish!
11) Peter a.k.a. Simon a.k.a. Cephas
12) Tabitha

Thanks, this was fun! I only had to look up #7! :-) I hope we're talking like the New International Version of the Bible and excluding the Apocrypha and the heretical "gospels" like the gospel of Thomas, the gospel of Mary, etc. (I hope those thoughts haven't even crossed your mind because they're far too ridiculous to get mixed up in, but I've had one friend too many to turn away from knowing Jesus for real and gotten satiated by lies about Him. Anyway...)

Thanks again for the contest! :-)

    Good job
I am glad to read #5 as that is what I said. I asked for the Bible verses which stated three wisemen and also the names. If anyone has it please let me know. I am glad that you won.

Where in the Bible does it tell you the names of the wise men, or even that there were three? What Scripture says that there were over a million who came out of Egypt? (I found one in Exodus--is there another that you used?) I'm a big fan of sources. :-) If you'd like sources for my answers, I'd love to compare :-) Thanks!
