than be devoted to me

the only person you should love more than yourself
be holy
be grateful
be joyful
join me and pick up your cross
the cross is very heavy
and you may seem very weak
remember being this devoted to me
is not easy
there is much temptation
in one's life
i will love you forever
no matter what
so join me and pick up your cross
i am your savior and your lord
i can make a great deal of pain
but i choose not to do so
even though you mat be in pain
by picking up that cross
i am not the one that caused it
join me and pick up your cross
when you followed me all your life
you will join me in a world where there is no pain
no suffering
no sorrow
you will join me in a world
that is only happiness
when the journey is done
you won't be
you will stay with me forever
so join e and pick up your cross

Brilliant. And in Christ we trust. The cross can be overbearing, and tempatation is always a stone-throw away. But God, through Christ, makes all things bearable. Your poem has hit the nail on the head.
The hardest thing anyone can do is follow the teachings of Christ. Really follow them by taking up His cross with Him. Many many fail. But you are on the right track. Well done. -
