Blinded by Temptation

The shadow of my past, a lonely road
Paved with intentions gravely bestowed
My love, a jewel of vast emptiness
This journey, so much damn loneliness

Lost in the sea of a million tears
Drowning in waves of my many fears
Commitment failed my heart so true
Detached through melodies, adieu

Too blind to see that fate was on our side
Only lies to cover the one time I lied
Unparalleled pain seduces my heart black
The strength to love you I now lack

My soul forever breached and broken
Deception from another been spoken
Temptation got the best of me
I lost you because the truth I could not see

Very overused clichés, "This journey, so much damn loneliness", "
Lost in the sea of a million tears", etc, but still well written. And I really doubt a million tears would even be enough for a pond, yet alone a sea.
