When You Marry Me
When you marry me, my love,
(in ten months, one week, no days, and roughly six hours)
you find I am a needy, greedy, nag.
I will need to kiss your lips each day
in greeting, goodnight, gone to the store, got the giggles.
I will need your strength and faith to stave my demons
and calm my fretful heart when troubles dance.
I will be greedy for spooning skin on skin
in blissful nocturnal choreograph.
I will be greedy for supper grace,
and heartfelt talks while eating endless garden zucchini.
I will nag you to let me feebly jam with you, fiddle and guitar
in some secluded park with inquisitive bunnies and a tree lined creek.
I will nag you to be in love with me
for as long as we both shall live.
When you marry me, my love,
(witnessed by our yard, plants, pets, friends, family, kids, and God.)
you will find the truth about your wife.

Beautiful poem
That's a wonderful poem. I liked your "Deep Dank Hollows" very much too. What a contrast. I can tell that you have experienced much pain in your life, and I wish you nothing but joy from now on.
You deserve it -

I love this poem! You have spoken the truth about marriage and know what the true meaning of what love is, and the acceptance of ourselves and others!
