What Story

What Story

WHat story can I tell?
The curtain for scene two is drawn
the actors and actresses bow
and sweets devided.

And I stand far away, look on,
a rose in my hand, plucked
from the land of a thousand flowers.
My legs still ache..
those dance steps practices
for  act two.

From my hand drops an old, crumbled note,
'come help us with scene two,
shortage of actresses.'

...a wish for encore? Backstage feelings surface here, but sometimes the understudy takes the spotlight. You are not short on talent.
