Stars are Naught But Shadows

Stars are shadows in the sky
Reflecting little children's eyes
Which close to whispered lullabies.

Dreams are music hidden deep
Found in hearts too weary to sleep
And rushing in blood too fiercely to weep.

Winds that rush between the trees
Carry words upon its knees
Unlocking stories by their keys.

As the tellers tell their stories
So must singers sing their songs
And the painters paint their pictures
With stars and dreams to come along.

And I just noticed a grammar typo:

    "Carry words upon its knees"

"its" refers to "winds", so you should have a plural verb agreement.

    "Carry words upon THEIR knees"

    Good to read this again.

This is so sweet and soft. Like a lullaby! Lovely. I can just imagine this set to some nice classical music and a soprano singing the song.

"Winds that rush between the trees
    Carry words upon its knees
Unlocking stories by their keys. "

    enchanting! thank you for participating.
