When His Eyelids Closed

I creep silently above you
with youself, how can you sleep?
Sweet dreams, for they are the last
memories you'll ever keep
Years ago that night
It is the anniversary
of the day you were so stupid
to steal everything from me
Tonight is the night
in the dark with fireflies
I awaken you with a stomp
to see fear brought to your eyes
"Get ready NOW" I said
but soon I brought you to your knees
begging, pleading, crying out:
"Won't you spare me? Please!"
"YOUR FATE WAS SEALED WHEN HIS EYELIDS CLOSED,"
I said black-heartedly
I slid the knife to bleed you dry
like you tried to do to me.
As I stand atop you
You're now begging for your death
your torture is my pleasure
since you took my true Love's breath
the one who always held me
with whom I dreamed to grow old
the only one who my touch
was unable to turn cold
I held him in my arms that night
when he said his last goodbyes
despite his wounds he was concerned
with the sadness in my eyes
And I swore right then and there
to seek revenge on he who stole
My lover's only body
but you'll never kill his soul.
I leave to find the graveyard
where my lost love still exists
it seems like only yesterday
we shared our final kiss.
I can't take it anymore
my tears are falling fast
but through my bitter suicide
we'll reunite at last.

Author notes

After listening to the song "Nemisis" by Cradle Of Filth, it inspired me to write this song. PLUS: THIS IS A WARNING TO ANY OF MY LOVE'S ENEMIES. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

    Awww thanks. Have you ever heard the song "Nemisis" by COF? It's what I based this off of. It's a very sad song. Dani (the lead singer) sings about slaying the enemies who killed his beloved daughter. I guess that's one of the things I really love about COF. The fact they can take a story, make it musical, and still keep so much emotion.
