In the evening sky
you have become my special star,
the light you shine is just for me
to show me where you are,
the love that makes you sparkle
comes straight from my heart
to keep us close together
even though we're far apart,
when I was younger heaven sent
an angel down to me,
but now they have you back again
and I must set you free,
you know how much I miss you
and wish that you were here,
so when I see my special star
I feel that you are near.

This made me want to cry.. its so sad.. its how i used to feel about my now husband when we were apart.. altho he did not pass he was 1000s of miles away.. and i would just always think no matter where we are we are under the same sky...!

Heartfelt
I felt tears in my eyes when I read this.
You truly know of the pain one feels when a loved one passes away.
It's passive, accepting, in a way, but there's still immense sorrow and raw pain.
I loved this bit the most:
"but now they have you back again
and I must set you free,
you know how much I miss you
and wish that you were here,
so when I see my special star
I feel that you are near."

This is a very special poem. I enjoyed it very much indeed and found myself completely drawn in to it as i was reading.
. I too have a special set of stars which i always look at in the night sky. They were given to me when i was a teenager by someone very close to my heart with the message: whenever you are troubled, upset or sad by the way your life is going, look to these 3 stars in the sky and know in your heart that forevermore you are loved and i will always watch over you. I still find myself looking at them whether i am sad or not.
