My white gown

My whole being is overflowing with desire
to open a new chapter in
the book of my life...

Low cut back
Criss-cross straps.
White as ice
flowery and nice,
long and lacy
virginal and pricy,
a crown and a veil
covering Rapunzel's styled hair,
a wish and a hope
for every maiden's wardrobe
mother in tears
like all over the globe.

Purity
sanctity
flower bouquets
with joy and pride
comes the rose-colored bride
with orchids adorning the aisle
and with unique and happy smile.

waiting for my prince charming,
with charm so disarming
for my heart so warming
and a new union on the forming
coming to my life and storming

A knight in shining armor
elation and expectation
impatience and joy
jewelry and glowing attires
orchids and roses
candles and happy tears
ululation and ecstasy cries

A white conjugal book
to be opened that night.
Magic and love in the air
candles and rituals
blessings by the divine
a union ceremony
in holy matrimony
Token for eternity
gold bands exchanged
symbol of love.

A ball and a waltz
best men and bridesmaids
white is the night
white is the gown
white are the dreams

i had a dress just like it, scratches beard and laughs seriously though, a good poem. magic and love in the air, i wonder if it ever fades, it seems not, for somewhere it is wafting along happily.

Yeah you're right, ever since the birth of the child the mother starts dreaming of the future and desires for the moments like you described. When the child becomes youth he/ she joins the mother and starts peeping into the secrets of future to see what all it can give. Nice approach, this kind of situation poetry is called as Razmiyah in Urdu and I am a big fan of it.
