Caught on the Breeze

Life moves along the breeze
Sometimes it lifts us
Sometimes we just float
And sometimes we fall
It's then I will walk beside you
Comfort you
Hold you
For you have lifted my wings so many times
Inside I fly
Caught on the breeze

It shakes us, till we tremble
Stirs us till we cry
But when the breeze catches your face
Head on
Hold on
Be held within
For then your wings will open
Outside the ether
You'll fly
Caught on the breeze

Warmly reassuring. Maybe the breeze can feel out of control, but it beats the heck out of landing hard. Lovely.

    Excellent! Very nicely done!

Love the feeling your beautiful poem gave me, Gill! Have you read my poem "Dreams of Flying"? Some said it gave them the feeling that they were...

man, dave took my thunder. i was going to mention the scene from forrest gump where the leaf is floating up in the air. that is what this reminded me of. (that WAS in forrest gump, wasnt it?) anyway, i wont EVER comment on what i think is trite or not, especially on a personal poem such as this. not my place to tell you what or how to feel, and then how you SHOULD express those feelings. i liked it for its honesty, and thats what matters.

This seems very trite to me, maybe I've just seen Forrest Gump to many times. I do not want you to feel like I am insulting you, I am not, this just seems to be a topic in poetry that has been worked to death. But I guess everything in life has been written about, I just haven't had time to read it all yet. You always have a great deal of imagry in your worx, I enjoy that, like a chocolate doughnut, can't get enough of them. Please don't feel offended if I say I think your poem is trite, it is, but so are the finer things in life. Dave

wonderful job , I want to fly too....think I have a poem up called just that " I want to fly " it is a pretty old one. This was wonderful.....and as the saying goes , may the sun always be in your face and the wind at your back ...............also this reminded me of a friendship poem, telling a friend that you will be there to pick them up , when life's breeze knocks them down
Thx for reading about RICARDO There will be more to come , hehehe

beautiful, full of hope and love. makes a persons heart light to read stuff like this.

It's nice to be able to hold that kind of affection and confidence towards someone, not everyone will be that fortunate. The wind/wings theme has the potential to be cliched, but you made good use of it here. Liked the bit "head on, hold on," a good break. -Zaotik

Oh how beautiful! Wonderful write... so true, too. Life is funny, how you can float.... and then fall. Fickle as a pickle it is! Can't decide if it's sour or sweet. But there's always SOMEONE there to help you through it, no matter who you are. Ah, I loved this so much *dances*

What stunning imagery you have created here, Gill...
Who hasn't dreamed of soaring like a bird,
and when we are in love, sometimes that is just what it feels like. A lovely write.
