Air Too Still

Those days and nights
without your voice
I live in a dark place -
a deep canyon
where the air is too still
and the river has dried -
I am afraid.

Memories of you echo
in the emptiness
of each lone moment
and I long
for just a whisper in my ear.

I worry about the world
without you -
how will the flowers open up
when you have gone away?

This is a sweet thought. Like it was supposed to be fleeting, yet it stuck.

    Excellant and fun/sad

Ay, amazing indeed. Your words bring back a host of memories, some bitter sweet; others exuberantly joyful. Thank you for writing it.
