Hands Of Friendship
Why do people hurt each other,
especially those that they love?
Why don't they count their blessings,
given to them from God above?
Friendship is a gift from heaven,
to cherish and nurture as one.
To hold hands and walk together,
in the darkness and the sun.
I will take the hand you offer,
and walk with you many miles.
True friendship is so hard to find,
stands the test of time, any trials.
Forgiveness, a priority,
for true friendship is give and take.
but if one takes without giving,
the bonds of their friendship may break.
Hold on tight, life is a bumpy road,
full of pit falls and temptations,
I will walk with you now my friend,
till our final destination.
Then glorious days, we shall share,
eternal happiness in God's realm,
Sailing the heavens together,
with our Lord and Savior at the helm.
