Silence and Omission

You were once the author of truths
And I have read the honesty of your past words.
You have raged against one
Who couldn’t be honest with you,
But you did the same to me.
Not with intentional lies,
But by omission.
You never spoke out
About the current truth inside.
Instead you left me blind.
Let me live in an illusion,
Using your lips to deliver
All the loving, kind things I thought were real.
You were the Dream Weaver
Of my hopeful future,
Believing you would never hurt me
Like you had been hurt.
Now the Dream is gone
‘Cause the rug’s been pulled out from under.
And I am left to wonder
How one can be so expressive on paper
And silent to those he loves.

I have someone in my life like this. Someone who is an expressive and beautiful person but can't speak out about whats in her heart and soul and will just let others pass her by.
