Understandable....

Why can't some people understand?
Understand and be grateful?
If everyone could run across the land,
Then would we be thankful?
What if  you got something you didn't deserve?
What if  once something perserved,
We took a look from a different angle?
If the whole world would open their eyes,
And only spoke the truth, nothing fake,
Would the sparkle return to the dark skies?
Could it be as simple as "a piece of cake?"
What if everyone smiled?
Just once or twice a day?
Would some people understand?

Author notes

This is for my bud J...I wrote it cause we both seem to think that no one understands...yet we both seem to understand each other when we stop and take the time to think about it...

    Groovy

Love the poem. No one ever seems to understand then when you finally meet someone that seems to understand you you are all bent out of shape and think that everyone should understand you the way that person does.
    LOL. Love it

Great poem, I see what your saying and it's so true. If we all just took the time to understand and enjoy things then the world would be such a better place. Great way of expressing that.
