A Sister, A Brother and a Friend
As the five of us sat at the
table eating our dinner,
I realized that we were among friends.
We chatted and laughed
like we were catching up
on old times,
yet creating a memory for all times.
Bel, you are the sister
that we never had.
Knowing that we can
talk to you about anything.
Putting your own issues aside
to help those around you with theirs.
We can always tell that you care.
Blaze, like a long lost brother.
Meeting you face to face.
I felt like I had known you for years.
In your laid back manner
you spoke with wisdom.
We spoke of so much
in such a short time.
Annie, your hair golden like the sun
and a smile to brighten your day.
To get to know you is a treat.
As you sit back in group IM
and silently observe the idle rhetoric.
While others may see you as a shadow,
we will see you as a friend.
