'Corner of Jaden n' Sprite' (Limerick)

Missing image
There抯 a hidden place under the sun
where your fingers can fly to have fun,
just as you might think of
you抮e right on the brink of
poetic collaboration.

Now whenever you get there, turn right-
a lampost of script gives the light
But if you get mixed -up
you抮e instantly fixed up
near the corner of Jaden and Sprite.

The sign to the left points the sight
the other indulges the write,
慣hough both are neat places
to find friendly faces,
at the corner of Jaden and Sprite.

Come hang out where, if you're uptight
you'll loosen up here on the site.
Just cruise with your pen there,
or ask who抳e all been there-
they'll say, " Corner of Jaden n' Sprite"!

Author notes

For those new to AllPoetry, I just happened to use the names of two writers who happened to be espoused and whose gifts and presence here have inspired this little diddly.

Started it weeks ago
in the middle of the silly night.
The rhythm felt good and words fit just right.
It never left my tongue, it's easily sung,
so here's---" The Corner of Jaden n' Sprite"

Fun and easy to read and very enjoyable. I think you picked the right people at the right time too. we need Jaden and Sprite to know that they are in our thoughts. Love to them and you too.
    Though both are neat places
    to find friendly faces,
at the corner of Jaden and Sprite.
    I agree totally.

Whimsical, with a pleasant old-fashioned turn of phrase! I think you've picked the right poets' names, though I haven't read anything of there's just yet.
Lamposts, signs and hidden places are very Narnia - I wonder have you read any CS Lewis or even had his stuff in mind when you wrote this?
Flattering for the two poets involved..

    delightful

This is delightful! I love Limerick's because they sound like the old lullabies Grandma used to sing to me. Jaden and Sprite and two very fine, well-versed poets that make an adorable couple.

It does sound something out of a fun Gilbert and Sullivan musical, or perhaps something romantic and light by Lerner and Loewe.

Either way, it's rather sweet, and terribly catchy!

Beautiful, well done. I really like the sound. Reading in a sing-songy way. I can't sing at all! My son's talent not mine. I am tone deaf, I think. What an uplifting, fun write to read! Thanks,Di and God Bless U!

Flattered, pleased, embarrassed and joyed are a few words that come to mind, but "Thank You" are the two that take up the most space. You are really really too kind, Cookie, dear. Tamara, at this corner you can drink whatever you want! Open all the time. As for you, Ce,

can I order a vodka on the rocks with olives only, no alchohol
well, if you insist, ok I will have a toast with you
    in the bubbly champaygne....

this is so cute Ce, I am proud someone thought of them
and honored in a way we can all relate
    when times are touch
put the pen to the test
and Jaden will fine turn your indrocenreties
as Sprite tells you what a lovely joy you are here
to share the words of wisdom with the group at AP

    just babbling~~~~~~
