Blank pages in the snow

On a winters night it's time to reflect
Snow on the ground and it's glistening white
My thought grow and many ideas some about
How it inspires me of many things to write

Now I'll use my imagination and thoughts
The concept's pristine and casts a white sheen
How I want to write for this mind will create
Here's the story now...with the lines read in between

My pen in hand and with these thoughts I'll begin
Look how I'm now writing here with a grin
The ideas I have are now taking life tonight
I'm creating..on blank pages in the snow I'll write

There it is a canvas for me...one to vividly create
I was inspired by someone special here today
To focus closer all I have to do is close my eyes
All the thoughts begin to flow...so many things to say

Looking at the snow out there...it shows some life
An inspiring blanket of pretty writing paper baby
Filling the blank pages in the snow is what I'll do
Tonight I'll create...a book of love for you to see

Dave

This is a very good poem, but this describes how you have been inspired by the scene before you, rather than describe the scene itself which is what I was looking for.

I read this and came to realize the simple wish of being that special to someone's heart.
I wasn't you writing - it was written by your soul - wonderful poem...
Rhyming was very thoughtful and not talentless.
I thank you for entering my contest - it is an honour to me!
    regards,
    Jan

she is very special...in the winter...I'd wait for the first snow fall...write her name in the snow...make snow angels...even ventured in a blizzard to write...I love weather and the intensity of a storm...especially winter...good morning and thank you for responding...smile and hugs..David
