The Journey of Yellow Sky

To Peace on the Prairie

Yellow Sky seemed to grow and grow
Like no other the Tribe had known

For the task he brought
to complete this life
Was to remove the fear,
erase the strife.

It was morning that brought a smile to his face,
and made each day come alive,
Spring just ahead was the time that marked
Great Spirit’s plan to strive.

To teach his people of the Two-leggeds journey
upon the open Prairie,
Was the purpose for which he now could Breathe,
and for so many this was scary.

Yet this little one that carried the weight
of Peace across the land
Had brought with him the Wisdom of Ancients,
that seemed guided by Spirit’s hand.

In a few short years he grew to be
the Warrior that they turned to...
For within the Breath of this little one
was the future of what to do.

To be at one with all the Children
that walk the Earth Mother’s ground.
Was a task given him for many a reason,
that this Tribe had already found.

Bold Eagle and Yellow Bird marveled and watched
as their young Brave overnight reached out,
to the path of a Warrior that Loved with a passion,
that removed all fears and doubts.

The question of how he came to be,
his years of growth so few,
no longer plagued them as they watched their Warrior
develop beyond all they knew.

I loved this poem...the next step in his growth and his journey is set... He will be a leader and a messenger to all peoples. He will do well in the years to come... Spiritsong
