What do I want I have nothing to say.
What is it I want I don't want it today.
Do we choose our own path
Or is it already paved,
Lives too many gone
just to…
Throw it away
to the path that I should take
it's just too real to,
go ahead and fake!
Every step that I make,
name your price
Cause I do not feel the same,
Name your price cause I,
would give anything.
Am I the only one!
Do we choose our own path
Or is it already paved...
Author notes
Its about not knowing the path to take

You have dealt with the prompt in a rather different way, not writing about specific choices but discussing choice in a philosphical way. That's allowed, I think and I really like what you have written.
"Do we choose our own path/Or is it already paved..." Great stuff. You may well ask.
Thank you for entering my contest. -
Deep, and true!
Wow! Deep and true. I often wonder, if we chose our own life, or if it is already made for us. Its confusing. Thanks so much for sharing this thoughtful piece and good luck in my contest!

my poetry is the insecure part of me, the rest of me is just insufficent.

Terrific write. It really struck me.

ah, i do feel this way. sadly.
this was quite a wonderful way to express the confusion felt....by you, and many others, like me. ha.
anywho, putting aside my odd humor, i like this piece. it's very honest, it shows the insecure part of the poet.

u made me realize that it rhymes
ty for the comment -
This is a good piece and I'm glad you put it up here for us to read. Normally I'm not a huge fan of rhyming pieces, but this was pretty good.
Thanks. -
thank you thank you, except i actually figure out ways to say them, that's the difference
-
Nicely done!
This is really a good write. I think many of us go through life wondering just these same things you ask. Very well written and expressed.
Thanks for sharing
Shannon
