Pure Water (TERZA RIMA)

Missing image
I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked in darkness hiding my shame.
I have run away from the truest light.

I have been down the most vile depraved lane.
I have passed by the devil on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have known both victory and defeat.
When far away an interrupted cry
Sounded in my soul, I felt my heartbeat.

When thirst was greatest and my mouth was dry,
It bid me drink of water clean and pure
For no other desire could satisfy.

    Glorious!

This was an awesome outburst of rapturous glory!
The utterance of your extremely itelligent words
gave beautiful tribute to the Lord of Lords!
and the King of Kings! There is nothing in this
life more rewarding then being filled with the water
of life. The quenching stream that flows from emanuels veins.
I really applaud you for the boldness of your superbly
expressed poem. To God Be All The Glory!!!
