Passions feed the soul it's fire,
preventing life from becoming mired.
In complacency torment of regrets,
doldrums will be the death of me yet.
That elated feel of being alive,
gives the spirit it's will to survive.
The touch the taste the scented feel,
ignited flames of something real.
Through the realm of strong emotions,
revitalized passions fuel the oceans.
Moods of the moon's gravitational beams,
create waves & currents in motion teems.
Feeling alive the bird spreads it's wings,
takes to flight in a sheer joyous ecstasy.
Hungered passion sends the soul soaring,
to embrace this moment in motivational glory.

I really liked this piece. The rhyming flowed so smoothly, and I like how you changed it round in the last stanza. I especially like the third stanza, for the wonderful descriptions you give, and overall I like your word choices. Great write!

Wonderful write here! I like the word doldrums for some reason...reminds me of "The Phantom Tollbooth" if you've ever read it. Great job expanding the meaning of the quote!
