acute aches;
this heart breaks;
two beats and a sigh;
wet lips kiss memories good-bye;
phantom touch caresses one last time;
I was yours;
You were mine;
emptiness swells like heartburn;
hanging onto what should be let go;
set a heart free--let it love.

I wrote this back in June and just unearthed it. With a few minor edits (word changes, that sort of thing), I figured it was good enough to post.
