My neigbour has a pond in their garden so frogs go into the their garden. In the fence bettween their house and my house there is a little hole and frogs come into cour garden. lol, I love the way you said chirping their opera, it is sort of true, becuase they ribbet and it is a funny sound. Thanks for sharing this

The image of frogs really stood out. It is one of the most important signs that it is spring to me because as a child I would always have pet frogs in the summer. I would raise them from tadpoles. We live near two lakes and a creek so I always had plenty of fun

Heh, why is it when we think 'spring', frogs come to mind? I think I've read this haiku before, and that's why I wrote my own spring poem. Yours was inspiration

Very nice poem, the words are well chosen!

I love listening to the frogs and to crickets too in the summers late afternoon. They sound so peaceful to me. This is a very good poem that you have; I enjoyed it very much. Checking out your new one then I will be gone only to return soon and see what new ones that you may come up with.

    6.8/10

If this is 5-7-5 form, well, it is in 5-6-5 form. Anyways, it doesn't matter, a lovely piece here.

    As fresh as Spring itself

Oh Susan! I just LOVE your nature poems ... and this haiku is wonderful - I love the way in which you string the p's and c's and f's to harmonize the song of spring ... Birth announced by a gutteral choir. Lovely paradox!

Thank you for reading my work!

    Kindest Regards,

    Myra

Spring is indeed frogs. Lovely haiku, thanks for sharing it with us. I am amazed that you've managed to capture spring so wel in so few words - a true haiku! I think you are lacking one syllable tho, I count 5-6-5, not 5-7-5. But then, maybe haikus can be shorter, I dont know the exact rules, 5-7-5 is what I was taught Great write!

    perfect

I so love haiku, especially when it is well done...as this is. Love the sound of frogs, I miss that here in the desert...the only real signs of spring here are orange blossoms and the soaring temperatures...this takes me home for a moment...thank you...love and hugs, Rom

Aw! What a great write! I love frogs! And chirping frogs! This is a great piece, very much enjoyed by myself! Heehee, I love frogs. Don't touch the dog! Hahaha, if he's got a black or red glint in his eyes I wouldn't, or if his fur seems extra soft looking. Other than that, feel free. LoL.
