A friend,
Is a rare precious treasure
Sometimes lasting for years
A friend,
Is someone who doesn't forsake us
When a dark moment appears,
Someone who lights up our darkness
With a smile bright as the sun,
Who laughs with us when we're happy
And talks about all the good we have done,
Our road will be smooth and untroubled
No matter what cares life may send,
If we travel that path together
And walk side by side
with our friends~

Ah, Susan, I saw you had been meandering in my lists

I love all the lines in the poem this leap out at me. You have share many inner truths in this write. My husband is my friend too. I think this is why it work out so very well. I too have been ill it started out as a head cold went into an infection in my lungs then hit the bronical tubes. I hope you are feeling better. I do keep you in my prayers. I had been thinking about you. I am trying to get on and read more. This is so pure and lovely. Great job.

Beautiful poem. You capture friendship, especially with these lines:

It reminds me of my best friend. She is the one person who can truly make me hapy on a bad day, and she can also bring me back to reality when I lose it.

well... i have to say thanks... i knew all this at one time... but lately i have been an asshole... i use to be a really nice guy and now i am just a punk... its a time for a change... i am in need of a huge change in lifestyle too... oh gee i thought i was just going to do it but here i am again just thinking about it...

Susan , thx for your comment on my last poem....was actually penned for a very dear friend of mine . So naturally I picked this one of yours to read. Yes , friendship is one of the most beautiful gifts in life .........you did a great tribute to it with this piece , but why should that surprise me? Have not yet read one of yours that I did not like . All is great here , hope the same with you. Today is our 18th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately hubby is at work { part time manages the clubhouse for our minor league baseball team. But we already celebrated 2 weeks ago with a week at the ocean

Amen to this! Love the carosel,too! I think, it makes me think back to my younger days. I like the pepy, presentation, uplifting, wise words on friendship. The flow of the words, your style always top notch, content is 4 me (what I truly look 4 in friends).
