Two sisters of the night reminisce
Searching for the briefest road to bliss
For the only men they long to kiss
Are the only ones whose heart they seem to miss.
In this journey of battered minds and scared limbs,
To search for that light that seems just so dim.
They try to hold on adjoined in their sorrow.
All though there seems little hope for tomorrow.
They speak through the silence
But deep down their hearts scream
Though you may think they cope
Things are not as they seem.
Through this journey of lies and deceit
It’s at the end of the road
They become sisters and meet.
A cut, a bruise, with nothing else to lose
But a shattered piece of their dignity.
Within these walls of flesh
In the depths of their souls
They burn for what may have been
Confessing to the darkness
Their deepest desire
The messenger of paper and pen.
