Oh no, I’ve turned to stone
I knew that was going to happen
Oh how I’ve tried to set the tone
Keep things moving cannot postpone
Understanding Life and how it sends
With such an unearthly pallor
Straight into the daily trends
Keep us staring , in such squalor
Writing that is what I should do
Wait I just cant’ move
Too late to say adieu
Shouldn't’t have tried to prove
There it goes my time is past
I’ve turned to stone
It’s way to late the die is cast
I’ve turned to stone

Author notes
Life can strike such chilling blows, it's a wonder we survive
Turned to stone we often stand with out the will to make a move!

good luck with this fun write but once again i am amazed that a write of this standard should be in a contest for those *not so good at speling, grammer and poetry* as this is very good and i couldnt find any errors

Thank you so much for entering my contest. I thought that this was going to be a hard picture for someone to come up with a poem that wasn't nonsensical. On the first read through your poem I thought what a nice witty little ditty and it does match the picture. However, on my second read I was able to see the underlining theme in this poem. I think that you have penned a very good poem here. How many times do we hesitate to do something we always wanted to do and then: Darn, it's too late. Now I will never get to do it. Now I have turned to stone and it is too late. You have captured that very well. Good luck in the contest. You can be proud of this one.

Heh, this is funny. It's silly and light and simple. Goes great with the picture. Good luck!
